It's the first Friday of the new year and 7 Carol at Beyond LiteracyLink is hosting us all.
Do you want some poetry challenges to start the year?
Heidi from the Inklings suggested that we using the “The Lost Lagoon” by Mohawk poet, Emily Pauline Johnson (d. 1913) “to build your own poem FOR CHILDREN about a treasured place that you return to again and again (geographical or metaphorical).”
#PoetryPals challenges us to write a poem inspired by something overheard.

oooooh! I spy some new collage with my little eye. I love flourish. And, you have seemed to flourish in artistic endeavors. I look forward to seeing where wonder takes you. And, thanks for arranging the post card exchange. I've already started having fun with it!

Jone: I see your collage and it makes me want to go back and make another tiny tattered house. I've made 4 now, and I'm learning as I go. I look forward to your wonder filled posts. Happy New Year!

I can see you wondering as you wander, Jone. I can imagine what beautiful sights you will photograph and collages you will make. Creativity will flourish as it connects with wonder!

Oh, you did indeed flourished, Jone! And inspired me. That spirit of wonder, so important. One word, so much potential.

You are a 'wonder woman', Jone! I love your collages, too. :)

Flourish is a great FOREVER word for you! Your creativity knows no bounds. Wonder will add a layer of depth to your work and play.

I haven't chosen an OLW for a long time, but enjoyed watching what you did with 'flourish' last year, and now "wonder' feels great. I had "wonder" as a word years ago, enjoyed following where it led. Happy New Year, Jone (love those collages, too)

Jone, your flourishing collages are indeed wonder-ful! Thanks for sharing the challenges that abound for those of us who like a prompt. I'm itching to MAKE some things and having trouble getting started...isn't that a strange condition?

Oh, I love your collage work! Wonder is a very good word to inspire you, I think, and may it inspire you the whole year. I need something to pull me forward and am still thinking of possible little words. ;)

I like your collages, too! Both "wonder" and "flourish" are good forever words. Glè mhath!
