Jone, what a great haiku and photo. I love your beautiful personification of summer. Yay to "elusive moments." I love wading on ocean ripples. You have sparked brain storming of a poem in my mind. Will work on it tomorrow. Thank you for always inspiring. :)
What a beauty...that moment that you took the photo and the moment you paired it with your haiku. It's a joy to read beauty like this.
Jone, you make me swoon for the ocean. Your poem and image are beautiful reminders to be in the moment and enjoy nature. Love this combo.
Less is best. Just lovely!
Summer is elusive, indeed!
What a wonderful poem, reminding us to make the most of each passing summer experience! Thanks for sharing.
What a perfect photo poem combo! Oh, those elusive moments...
great haiku paired with the perfect pic!
Ooh, lovely clear and cool! Summer ripples, yes.
That's a beautiful poem/photograph combination, Jone. Yesterday I was out for a walk early, before it got too hot, and got kind of wistful that summer is halfway through.
"attempt catching the shadows" is such an apt line for the photo. This is a beautiful photo and familiar scene. Your poem describes it very well.
Thank you for this lovely reminder not to let those elusive summer moments slip by!
Summer moments are elusive, as are the moments in time to capture perfect images and words. Perfect, Jone.
