Sealey Challenge Update

I have been a bit slow with the challenge.  These were the books I read last week. This week have also read:
  • Sugar House Review, Issue 26
  • What the Living Do by Marie Howe
  • Comstock Review,  Spring/Summer 2022
  • The Truth About Trees by Charles Ghigna
  • Poem Crazy, Susan G. Woolridge

Beautiful haiku! It is amazing how the water in the picture that you chose looks like a gemstone.

Hope you've had a pleasant summer. I, too, love the photo, how the water looks like gems, "after the rain." Thinking about the moon finding cover. Thanks for sharing this.

The moon finding cover is an intriguing thought, Jone. Sorry about the heat. What a summer of incredible temperatures it has been.

I adore this photo and your haiku, Jone. That sitting moon of waterdrop, whatever is the opposite of frozen in the record heat! To me it looks like you have been doing the Sealey Challenge very much justice!

Jone, that image and haiku is stunning--and I read The Truth About Trees last week :>)

Your pairing of photo and haiku is pitch perfect, Jone! "Poemcrazy" is a favorite of mine, and one I turn to time and again. Thanks for reminding me it might be time for another visit!

Jone, the colors in your photo are gorgeous, I hope the heat evens out soon. Thanks for the beauty of nature and the haiku that shares the topic of the summer.

Jone,
I love a good rain during a heat spell. We are having that today--cooler weather, clouds, and a tropical storm on its way to our desert. The global climate disruption is terrifying, but the relief feels good. I like the personification of "the moon finds cover" in your poem.

Gorgeous photo, Jone - and I'm intrigued by that moon seeking cover, too! Wonderful.

Jone! I think when I saw your haiku photo on facebook, I mistook the raindrop for a blueberry!

That raindrop--beautiful!!!

Thanks for your luscious image and haiku Jone–hope we'll find some cover this week as our temps will be quite high…
