![]() My goal this month is to return to the practice of daily small poems. Some years it's been called #Poemtober. I am using the #Inktober words for inspritation. On a walk this week, I took this photo. I am playing with two versions. leaf shadow after the rain memory ©Jone Rush MacCulloch memory after the rain leaf shadow ©Jone Rush MacCulloch The first word for #Inktober is 'crystal'.

You have a reverso in the first two versions of leaf shadow. I like it!

Good catch by Linda -- a haiku-reverso! I do love the wish makers on the lake... 10/2/2021 06:57:47 am
A reverso and a crystal beauty of a poem! I think the crystal poem should be an image poem. If you find a photo may I add your poem to an upcoming fall gallery, Jone? 10/2/2021 12:41:20 pm
Your haiku is brilliant, Jone. I went with a reverso this week, too but a lot longer. Great minds... :) 10/3/2021 07:34:40 pm
Crystal "wish makers" beautiful imagery Jone, and I like both versions of leaf shadow and image, thanks! 10/4/2021 02:47:02 am
Your haiku are beautiful, Jone. I love the beauty you found in the smudge of "leaf shadow" and long to be sitting on the shore of a lake adorned with those "wish makers." Thank you for sharing! 10/5/2021 03:21:46 am
Jone, what a great idea to write a small poem a day based on the inktober prompts. I am going to look into that, as the month is still new. I love both versions, which as everyone else caught makes another sweet form of poetry. The reverso with the theme of the shadow in the photo seems quite appropriate. The stars shimmering on the lake as crystal wish makers is such a beautiful word image. Comments are closed.
