The Inklings Challenge from Catherine this month: “Write a mathematical poem, such as a fib, pi poem, nonet, etc.” The Poetry Sisters will be trying this out: The Exquisite Corpse On Instagram, there's a really cool challenge for February: Februllage. It involves collaging to a daily prompt. I've decided to play with some collage with a bonus of writing a poem.

Wow! Go, Jone go! I can't keep up with this challenge in the making part. But, I'm thrilled to be in your audience. I do love a poem that stirs in some good factual information as you have with Jaguars. But that sisters poem--that's me and my sisters! 2/4/2022 04:10:29 am
Your "Februllage" collection is great, Jone! I'm especially intrigued by your octopus tree poem...it 'tentacles my fancy'.(and I want to learn more! ;) 2/4/2022 07:17:36 am
I'm smiling about "sisters...keepers of secrets". There may be an entire book in those words. Thank you!

I love how you incorporate art with your poetry and writing. I have noted these on fb and am glad to find out the details. Do you have a craft room/office dedicated space? I love the idea of exploring art more! My favorite is Two Sisters....lovely and something I wish for everyone who is lucky enough to have a sister.....

Jone, I love your poems and collages! I like how you shared your process of blacking out words in your jaguar poem. I love all cats. (Do you know Panthera.org helps conservation of all wild cats-big and small.) Wow-sisters "recipe keepers of secrets"! I love your photo of your grandmother and great-aunt. Love that octopus tree; you have me curious. Thank you for sharing your poems, collages, and inspiration. :)

I'm loving the spectator's seat for this project. Several very different responses come through my IG feed! (Yours is the only one with poetry!!) 2/5/2022 08:55:23 am
Jone, thanks for introducing me to #februllage. I'm following now and enjoying all the unique art. Pairing with poems is quite the adventure, too. 2/5/2022 01:40:07 pm
Wow! You've been busy at things you are so good at. It's a challenge to do a daily prompt but I'm sure it will result in work that will continue to develop. Love the octopus tree! 2/5/2022 06:12:24 pm
This feels like it fits you so much, Jone. I've seen some of these from your posting, love the art with the words! I know about the jaguar, more sad news! 2/6/2022 09:50:04 pm
Your February is off to a creative start! Thanks for sharing these poems with us and for being a part of the Poetry Friday party this week. 2/10/2022 04:12:50 pm
I lost track of whose blogs I read at last week's Poetry Friday. I am so glad that I read yours that holds such a wonderful array of Februllage collages with poems. I especially like The Two Sosters-such a hoot. Comments are closed.
