Poetry Friday, Week 51: For Christmas Eve
How can it be Christmas Eve already? This Friday Buffy at Buffy Silverman is hosting us. She's sharing her poetry gift from her Winter Swap and her poetic response.
one candle flickers
the light shines in the darkness
while we wait with hope

Jone, this is a beautiful haiku for Christmas. The light shines in the darkness as we wait with hope for the infant's birth. This could be my prayer for Christmas Eve. I was just telling my son that as a preteen, I would go to sleep thinking of the manger scene and what comes next. Hope is powerful.Merry Christmas to you.
