Poetry Friday, Week 7: Mud Pie

Margaret at Reflections on the Teche has hosting duties for Poetry Friday. She is enjoying a week off for Mardi Gras. How cool is that?
I'm participating in an annual February poetry event hosted by Laura Shovan. Thursday's prompt included mud and demo-derby. The word mud evokes the three year old me and a time with my Grandma Annie who was visiting from New Jersey and who I would fly to her home when I was four.

What. a cute baker! This is such a great photo and accompanying poem. This was in a time when grandma's all had a look...like my grandmas did. I wonder what my grandmas hoped I'd try? I never got to know. But, I can play with the idea in a poem.

Jone, your grandma story poem is a charmer. Maybe Grandma is smiling in heaven thinking back on Grandma love she shared with you. Squeish is a wonderful sounding word and I love the repition.
